Look what I got today!!!!!
WOW these wonderful, beautiful Full size Witchy bottles, made by the oh so talented Nikki Rowe.
My darling husband sneaked onto Etsy before I even had a chance to look at them on there, he knows me so well and exactly what I'd love! Little did I know that when I saw them sold, they had sold to us!
I spoke to him a while back about making a full size potion/ witchy cupboard/ dresser, decorating it in shabby chic style and dressing it with jars, bottles and old books etc
After much deliberation I decided against using my kitchen dresser which is full of my Art Deco collection , and instead John has suggested either making or keeping an eye out for a shelf unit to mount on the wall and create my witchy theme project!
SO these will be the first bottles to go on and be shown off. I have found some labels for other bottles but to have them ready made with all contents so beautifully made is the greatest start and Id like to thank both Nikki for the oppurtunity to buy them, and my hubby for grabbing them up before they flew off the Etsy shelves!!!
Nikki even gift wrapped them for me in spooky paper decorated in mice and bats and with a tiny potion jar as a gift tag in which John wrote a lovely message for me! What a lovely touch, I really love it when I recieve things wrapped so inventively.
Vicky Guile has made me some amazing minis before and I always say to her that I just adore the way she wraps everything so lovingly, it makes all the difference. Mind you , it makes that temptation to rip everything off quickly and get to the contents so very hard to do!!!!
I really hope Nikki makes more different jars and bottles as it is a fab idea. Imagine an entire cabinet of Nikki's work in full size!
I was having a lousy week, so these have cheered me up no end, and now I cant wait to find a suitable shelf to show them off to everyone.
Oooh and also John bought me a great Mandrake set, in mini this time as a start to the mandrake table I want to make for the Harry Potter conservatory............when it happens. Always good to have a piece to start you off and spur you on. Roll on September for some time to get stuck in to all of this! So after being spoilt rotten, going to enjoy the rest of my day now.

Glad you like them Kate.
Isn't John lovely to suprise you like this. It's ever so thoughtful.
I'm also glad they arrived ok. I was worried about sending bottles so big incase they broke.
I've been trying to find some new style big bottles but you would be amazed how difficult to find good ones can be.
I had a look on the Ikea site and they have some great jars and bottles, plus some candle holders which are great as potion jars.
So off to ikea later when hubs and the boys get back from shooting.
I also found a great product for making material look rusty and will do a write up about it on my blog when i have the time. I've made some nice cloth tops for jars with it.
If you can think of any great fillers let me know. My brain is not in gear while the holidays are still here.
Roll on september and maybe i'll finally get some work finished.

I love the bottles! Nikki is so creative and your husband is so sweet!!
I have been slowly working on a Snape inspired potion cabinet for my sister. It is way to heavy to ship so I will give it to her when we see each other again. That's why I have been so slow at finishing it, I might see her at Thanksgiving. I'll have to show her those bottles, very cool!
