Well, we didnt win Marvin, Debie's wonderful Mad Scientist :-( , but its Johns fault cos he promised to get us home from a friends BBQ in time for me to get the children to bed and bid, but at 8.00 we were still sipping wine so by the time we got in , it was all a mad rush to get wingy tired children to bed and try and get a bid in but it was not to be!! Still it may be a while until John can begin the laboratory anyway as I have been a very naughty girl and bought another project!!!
I had my eye on this little house on ebay and could visualise it done with paperclay walls and roof, and inside a Witches kitchen with cauldron in the fireplace, old rusty oven, and small bedroom above. Ive always wanted a witchy bedroom, after i saw a wonderful bed that Nikki sold on ebay over a year ago now. I want it very rustic, lovely materials on the bed.
I love the little chalet style window in the bedroom. I will probably put it on a turntable to show it off from all angles.
I won this before we went out, so was a happy bunny, just sad to miss out on Marvin but no doubt hes gone to a good home and I will be nagging Debie to make another mad scientist once the project gets started!! In the mean time, I think the search will be on for the ideal witch for this little house. I can picture a quite homely plump witch, not too ugly or wicked!
It should arrive in a few days, then I can decide on the decor etc. Think Ill follow some of the designs in my 'Petite properties' books to make some furniture for it.
Yes I know I know, another project to get in the way of finishing the others, but I get bored easily and find a break from each makes me more enthusiastic in the long run!
Have a great week xx

I sooo know what you mean...another day, another project! We just have far too many ideas in our heads, I guess. I think the house will make a perfect witchy place...has all the right "bones". Eager awaiting it completion...lol. Would love to see progress photos.

Oh thats such a nice house and perfect for a witch.
It has a rik pierce feel to it.
Have a look on my links for rik pierce webshots. He has all his houses showing on this one.
Its a nice size and wont take too long to change and add to.

Didn't we say something about a miniaturists' syndrome not too long ago...something about projects piling up and too many crafty ideas ;-) I can't wait to see what you do with that new house--rustic bedding and all.
How fun!! Yep, I agree, a wonderful Witchy Cottage it will be! :)
LOL Oh Kate another project. Your post did make me laugh. I know exactly what you mean. Loads of projects on the go, but at the moment not enough time to finish them. Really looking forward to seeing what you do with this one. Have a look at this blog:-

Tabitha, I was thinking it lends itself to a witchy house but after seeing the blogs and websites with fairy houses Im being pulled in that direction!! Will definatly show progress pics when there are some! xx
Nikki, those pics are fabulous and very inspiring, just the look I want, but can i get it!! Im hoping the scale is right, as you cant tell til it arrives, but it should be 1 12th by he measurements i got. If you get time and still have them , have you any photos of the witchy bedroom things youve made? thanks! xx
Mary, I definatly have a disease!! Wish we had more time to get on with everything. Will show it off as it gets going.xx

Debie, we will definatly give you a shout when we need the mad brother, will he be his twin or do you have other ideas for what he will look like, how exciting! And as for Millicent, well as you can imagine we cant wait to see her! lol. xx
Hugs to everyone for your lovely comments on this lovely sunny day! xx
I see you're going in the fairy direction.
I think thats a great idea, but it would be equally great for a witch.

Very cool house! I can't wait to see what you do with it! It looks so fun! I had gotten a house to put together 2 years ago and it is still sitting in the garage in the box. Seeing all these cool pics, I might have to pull it out!!
