Summer holidays mad as always with all the children here, back from college and Uni! Ive just taken my eldest daughter back to Worthing for her final year studying fashion, and needed to blitz the house post the holiday madness so have been busy decorating and basically tidying up after everyone!
I still am whittling down my miniature collection due to lack of space in the house but for the last few weeks ive been working on miniatures of a different nature. It cant be all work and no play after all!
My eyesight is getting so bad and i still have to see a proper optician instead of just popping into the pound shop for cheap glasses lol! So, i decided to satisfy my needs for minimaking and up my scale for a bit!
My daughter Lola is 11 and madly into both Sylvanian families and Monster high Dolls. I spent a good part of the summer holidays decoating large IKEA shelves for her own collections and we enjoyed picking scrapbooking papers, material, fabrics etc and making them little room sets. so much infact i had an idea!
Christmas is coming.........yes i said it!!! With 5 children to buy for i have to start early and already have a number of pressies tucked away.But still lots to buy and not enough pennies to do so, so we thought it would be a good idea to decorate and sell some of these customised houses and furntiure on ebay. after all, Lola and Lacey get so much enjoyment out of them, i am sure other children woyuld love someting abit different and OOAK for a christmas treat!
SO heres a preview of whats coming tonight. Ive customised two barbie houses, redecoarating them and doing up the furniture, making bedding etc. also a couple of sylvanian houses too. One is a darling little halloween house with a fox complete in her witch costume, all ready for my favourite time of year
I know theses probably arnt your thing, but if you know anyone , possibly an older child, as they arnt really for younger children, who'd like something handmade for Christmas please pass my details on as i have about another dozen or so projects in the making and all to come on ebay before Christmas.
